冠詞有：不定冠詞（a 、an ）和 定冠詞（the）而關于冠詞的用法，也只有四種：1、加 a； 2、加 an； 3、加 the； 4、不加冠詞，那至于什么情況下，怎么用？下面分復數和單數的情況，來進行講解：
（1）復數是只有兩種情況，加 the 或 不加冠詞
1、復數一般情況下不加冠詞 。
2、特殊情況為后面跟定語從句（或其縮略式）進行限定時，加the。
（2）單數不定冠詞 a 或 an：
1、在句義表示泛指時，加 a 或 an。
2、同位語進行解釋說明時，要加 a 或 an。如：…… by Redfin,anational real estate brokerage firm.
3、單數名詞前有形容詞，一般要添加 a 或 an。 如：adecisive reversal （一種決定性的逆轉）
4、至于用 a 還是 an，就看后面的的詞的發音是否是以元音開始。
定冠詞 the：
1、of 前的單數名詞一般要加 the，固定詞組除外。如：the start of the recession。
2、明確特指對象，要加 the。如：debunkingtheidea that we need to grow more food on a large scale so we can “feedthenine bollion”-theanticipated global population by 2050.
3、定語從句（包括 doing 或 done 的從句省略形式）的先行詞一般加 the。如：There is aslothevirtually unregulated food system that is geared toward making money rather than feeding people.
